Spin a tale around the sleeping baby -11

On Diwali, after having fun burning the crackers, my little Samyu looked for the moon in the sky, but could not find it. The next morning she got up and saw the sun and told that she did not find the moon during the night. When asked she could clearly differentiate the night sky and the day sky but did not know why there is no moon or what will sun help us with.
As I believe in the fact that stories are not just designed for entertainment, but also to simplify few proved facts in a funny way, I decided to introduce my little Samyu to a bit of astronomy. So I started dressing up my darling doll as the brilliant Sun, and it turned to be like this.
Then to accomplish, what I wanted to do, I started spinning a tale around the same. And this is what I ended up with.

Title:

The Story of the Sun🌞 and its family ...

Characters: Baby sun, planets, mommy, little girl.

Story

Once upon a time, there lived a little girl who loved staring at the night sky. On a new moon day, she started looking for the moon among the stars but was disappointed as she did not find him. Looking at the little cheerful face turn sad, her mommy asked the little girl what went wrong. She then told that she could not find the lovely moon in the sky. Hearing this her mommy told that it was a new moon day and so the moon won't appear. The little girl did not understand and had several questions on her face. So her mom started telling her a little story about the Sun and its family.
In a very big galaxy of stars called the milky way, there lived a family of eight planets and a huge bright star. The bright star is named as the Sun and is the head of the family. The eight planets included the Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, which together form our Solar family.
All the planets needed light to survive and the Sun is the only source of light. All the planets used to run around the Sun in the milky way to capture the light emitted from the Sun. In this process, the planets used to bump into each other and got hurt. This became a big problem for all the planets. So they decided to come together and find a solution to this problem. The biggest and the wisest of all the Jupiter came with a solution. He designed a fun game and named it "Catch the Light". All the planets got excited and agreed to play and asked Jupiter to tell the rules.
He started off by drawing eight imaginary lines around the Sun and called them orbits. He then asked each planet to choose a path and start going around the Sun and catch as much light as they can, without bumping into each other and going out of their assigned path. He then told the planets to use the light wisely. The planets loved the game and decided to play it every day.
Days passed and Earth started making good use of the light captured from the Sun, thus giving rise to life. Hence our mother EARTH is declared as a winner. The moon is then awarded to the Earth as a prize. To make sure everyone on it will get a glimpse of its prize, Earth, which is round in shape started showing it to people in turns.
The little girl listened to her mom carefully and kissed her goodnight sliding into her dreams, just like my little Samyu.
If you like this tale, do share it with your mommy friends and read it for your preschool kids. Or start spinning your own tale around my sleeping baby and let the creativity flow...
