Hidden Meaning of Lord Natraja --- Remembering my Guru's words...

Image
This could be my 2nd post in this blog relating dance, but this time the pitch can be a bit different. Dance has been my passion since a child (I attended my first dance class when I was 7 years old) and it always holds a place in my priority lists (no wonder, I learnt how to ride a bicycle simply to attend my classes). My parents and family encouraged me when I expressed my interest in the art and soon got my admission to dance under my guru 'Sri Avasarala Rukmaji Rao'. He not only developed my interest in art but also inculcated the right thought and showed me a path to get myself involved in the ocean of dance. Under his tutelage, I was trained to learn, understand and practice more than the art. According to him, it's not simply learning the art but he made us live the art. A Nostalgic remembrance: A lmost about 12 years ago, I was learning a composition "Ananda Natamaduvar Tillai", which explains the cosmic dance (Tandava) of lord shiva as Na

Tricks to fight Depression....

If you are going through a complex condition characterized by loss of interest in social living coupled with profound sadness and a strong feeling of worthlessness, then all you need to do is to try your best and stand against it.  This is because  " D epression is Devastating ...." Medication is known to help an individual against depression, but here let me list some general tricks apart from swallowing sour pills or undergoing through some psych therapies to make such a condition better.  Solitude a source of Sabotage: "Family and friends will stay with you during the tough times." If you believe in this then you will definitely prevent the hallmark of depression, i.e., SOLITUDE.  Yes, if you think you are becoming isolated, reach out to people, improve and expand your social access.   Regularize your Routine: Well, may be, you really have an irregular routine thats making you lethargic (for instance, spending a lot of time to sleep in th

Life of a Life Science Student...

Image
Well it's not at all an exaggerated post, but is all true and is coming straight from my heart -- " A Life Science Student's "...  When everyone else says you can't, determination says, "Yes You Can"... (S. Hawking).  A lovely and an inspiring quote. Isn't it? My story may not be so lovely or inspiring as the quote, but it is the way I live and so I love it (cause every choice and the decisions involved are made by me). Let me now start with   My Story... As a school going kid, I was fascinated with the contents of my biology textbook and the science of life embedded in it (on the other hand believed that maths books have millions of problems and so was never my cup of tea). Even before giving my board exams, I was determined to take up science and find a career in the same. I was questioned by many over my decision but my family was with me.With all the interest and immense hope I took up the biology stream in my +2. I really did som

Today's Your Valentine♥♥♥... [$V(w)allet- In -Time$]

Well to all those reading this post, don't continue further if you have an issue with the title. "Strength in our muscles may die... Charm in our skin may perish with time... But let the true love sprouted in our young hearts be carried till our locks turn gray and to the grave..." Yours Valentine February 14th as most of us are familiar with, is the Valentine's day and is marked as one of the most memorable days in the world history. Celebrated in the memoir of the Roman priest Saint Valentine many legends are built to explain the (so called most) romantic day in the world. It was (may be is) a celebration of PURE love in Rome and many countries across the world where flowers and signed scripts containing the expression of true love were exchanged. The metamorphosis... My notion about the portion of love I understood from the sugary stories I read during my teen is that it is a pure feeling with care and affection as the prime factors and together

"No winter lasts forever and No spring skips its turn." -Hal Borland    The soul sapping chill and the gloominess of the nature's coldest season is about to end and on this happy note; I take some time to make a post in my space...     W INTER, according to those reading this post can be a season with long nights and short days. It's often hard to decide between the two, which can either  symbolize Mother Nature showing her pure beauty forming the clear ice or her harsh face through the piercing cold breeze.  B ut to me, it is the time of the year  when My palate enjoys steaming coffee, gingerbread and cinnamon Bare boughs of the trees in the backyard beat across the hard & cold winds, Dew drops on the window pane makes the morning wish at noon & All the warmth in the world can be found only under the quilt...   Reasons for a Lazy Winter day: Since past the season of snow has been explained for the endurance offered by the hard bea
