Inspire little minds to progress amidst adversities
We live in a world where several things surrounding us
influence our peaceful lives. For instance, the Virus - a tiny
invisible particle has become so invincible today. It has a huge impact on the entire
existence of mankind. It changed everything around us. The very busy world
a month ago has now gone standstill. It
landed us into a kind of fear, which can best be expressed as the most unpleasant one.
The positive side…
However, I get to see a few positive things
happening even in this unhappy and
extremely difficult situation. They include:
- People getting a fair amount of time to spend with their loved ones. This can bridge any emerging or existing gaps in relationships.
- People trying to rework on their interests. For instance, someone like me trying to draw.
- And most importantly - our planet Earth started gradually healing from the man-made ruckus.
The undeniable fact:
As I think of the little ones, deep
down in my heart, I believe that these
kids are having a tough time. Yes, they are getting ample time to spend with
their family, however, their routine has undergone major changes. Their
playtime is affected, they have to give up on meeting their
friends. Televisions cannot entertain them all the time. So, to grab attention, they start behaving in a peculiar manner.
This would lead them to face a screaming, impatient parent. All these things could easily upset a child and make them unhappy.
Our Job:
We as adults should try and understand their feelings. We should make them realize that everything
will pass, provided, we stick to our values. I could
recollect a small story I once read over here.
Story:
There was once a father and a daughter. The daughter was an energetic child but was easily influenced
by the situation. She once went to her father and told him that she was very disappointed. The father could understand the
daughter’s words.
So, he took her straight to the kitchen. He kept water in three pans to boil. He added
a potato, an egg and few ground coffee beans in first, second and third pans respectively. He allowed them to boil. The daughter waited impatiently for about 20 minutes. He then placed them in front of her and asked her what she understood. She went clueless and stared
at him.
He asked her to touch each of them and then replied to her that potato
went in hard and came out soft. The egg was delicate but, changed
and came out as a hard-boiled egg. And finally, the coffee has a rich aroma. All three went through the same adversity – “boiling water”. But, each of them
reacted differently to the cause. However, the
ground coffee beans changed the water into something new and unique, which can
be celebrated. Father finally told her that
when adversity knocks your door, stay determined and choose who you
want to be.
Positive thought:
Every one of us wanted to build a
strong child, with a positive attitude.
They should have the ability to appreciate and apologize when wrong. Forgive foes and make
friends. Respect a speaker and agree upon feedback. Have few necessary and healthy arguments,
however, stick to the truth and voice out their opinions.
